4 Restaurants Celebrating Valentine's Day

It’s the season of love! As we all know, Valentine’s Day is coming up on February 14 and there’s plenty of delicious restaurants serving specials to celebrate. If you’re in need of places to take your beloved on the holiday, here are four restaurants on Long Island that are hosting a Valentine’s Day event and/or celebration. Enjoy these romantic specials!

Bayberry, an American restaurant in Islip, is celebrating Valentine’s Day with a special three-course Surf N’ Turf prix-fixe dinner for $75. Available from February 14 to February 18, the dinner will consist of an appetizer, entrée and dessert. Appetizers to choose from include jumbo lump crab cakes, French onion soup, peking duck tacos, caesar salad or a warm goat cheese salad. The entree will be a filet mignon and lobster tail, alongside a garlic confit potato purée and butter poached asparagus, topped with a caramelized shallot demi-glace. For dessert, choose between a flourless chocolate mousse cake, a blackberry tres leche, or a maple bourbon crème brûlée. On top of that, the a la carte menu will also be available. Fresno is a contemporary New American restaurant tucked away in the heart of East Hampton Village. The iconic restaurant will be open for a Valentine’s Day celebration on February 14 with multiple specials. The specials that Fresno will be offering include the following: $2 Montauk pearl oysters on the half shell, big eye Montauk tuna tartare with crispy plantains, truffle cauliflower soup, the surf and turf which consists of pan-seared local sea scallops and crispy pork belly, a grilled 6 ounce filet mignon, and a bittersweet chocolate terrine. Additionally, a half bottle of Billecart Rose will be available for 25% off as well as the a la carte menu. These specials will be offered on Valentine’s Day through the weekend. Mangia Bene is a modern Italian restaurant and bar located in Rockville Centre. Mangia Bene, which means “Eat Well” in Italian, specializes in fresh house made pasta and artisanal pizza. For Valentine’s Day, the restaurant is offering a remarkable three-course prix-fixe menu with an extensive selection of food items for only $60. Appetizers include burrata, fried calamari, rice balls and baked clams. Entrées consist of cacio e pepe, boneless beef short rib, North Atlantic salmon, lamb osso buco, a 14 ounce NY strip, chicken parmesan and much more. Juniper is a New American restaurant located at the Vanderbilt Hotel in Westbury. With a menu inspired by the bounty of Long Island, Juniper is celebrating Valentine’s Day with a remarkable three course prix-fixe menu for $95 per person offered only on February 14. Appetizers include coconut shrimp, crispy sushi rice, Caesar salad and fig burrata salad. The entrées comprise of roasted chicken, glazed pork chop, pan roasted hake and lobster ravioli. If you’re looking to share with that special someone, there is a ribeye and grilled head-on shrimp for two as well as a Canary Island branzino.
