Perfectly seared steaks and towers of fresh seafood have a warm place in our hearts. If we were to tell you that there's a place that offers both under one roof, would you go? Of course you would; it's a no brainer. Jake's Steakhouse is a classic steakhouse with a 30-foot mahogany bar, lush leather booths and banquettes, and an outdoor beer garden. Although positioned in a high traffic area on Hempstead Turnpike in East Meadow for more than 5 years now, Jake's somehow manages to be a best kept secret amongst locals.
Steak; it's candy for adults. And it's even better when you get the Jake's signature offering which is a 35-day dry-aged cowboy ribeye. Disclaimer: this massive hunk of meat may leave you gnawing on the bone upon completion. Seasoned perfectly and seared to perfection at 1200 degree, the outside of this steak (and other steaks on the menu) contains the perfect amount of char while being packed with juicy flavor. If you've got a large appetite, this might not be enough to share, but luckily the menu offers a porterhouse for 2 which is equally as succulent. If you're looking for something leaner (insert sarcasm), the Jake's Filet Mignon is topped with melted blue cheese and garnished with frizzled onions. That should do the trick for you.
While the purpose of going to a steakhouse is typically to order a large slab of meat, we understand that this isn't everyone's preference. The Twin Lobster Tails or the Grilled Chilean Sea Bass are both viable options for seafood lovers, while the Braised Boneless Beef Short Ribs or the Grilled Pork Chops are options for those of looking for a hearty meal that isn't steak.
Jake's also manages to keep things casual with sandwiches, salads, burgers and pasta as well. Jake's Dinner Burger is made up of high quality ground beef (1/2 lbs.) with your standard toppings, but thrown for a twist by being served on an English muffin. The Pasta Primavera is a combination of mixed vegetables served over pasta in a light garlic cream sauce, which you can bring to the next level of greatness by adding chicken, shrimp, or steak.
While great food is something that will bring people from near and far to try a new restaurant, it's the ambiance and wait staff that makes the difference in whether or not you choose to return. Jake's Steakhouse is the trifecta when it comes to these 3 categories and that's the reason we know repeat business is imminent. Whether you're lounging in the outdoor beer garden area with a flawlessly shaken Cosmopolitan or hanging by the bar to socialize with friends, you'll be sure to find your happy place when coming to Jake's Steakhouse.
