Mom, mother, mama, mommy, mum, madre... Whatever you call her, the day to honor her and all that she does is this Sunday. Time to gather the family, pick up some flowers and take her out for a nice meal!

Here are a few spots to consider to celebrate the matriarch of the family. Make sure you make reservations!

View - Oakdale

Dine with a water view at The View overlooking the Great South Bay. The View is serving a special a la carte menu for Mother’s Day from noon to 7 p.m. A few samples off the special menu include: Thai calamari with peanuts, lime, cilantro and sweet chili glaze; Peking duck tacos with scallion, avocado and hoisin sauce; Maine lobster bisque; Maine lobster pasta with roasted corn, smoked bacon, caramelized shallots, mushrooms, cherry tomatoes, garganelli pasta and cognac cream; 48-hour braised short rib with white chocolate-parsnip purée, spring vegetable medley and pinot noir reduction; and Herb roasted chicken breast with Yukon potato gnocchi, caramelized onions, cremini mushrooms, pancetta, sweet peas and madeira-truffle glace. Save room for dessert and indulge in the Valrhona chocolate bomb or sticky toffee cake, both are heavenly!

Jonathan’s Ristorante - Huntington

If brunch is what mom wants, book a table for the family at Jonathan’s Ristorante in Huntington. Mother’s Day brunch service will feature a special three-course prix fixe menu for $39 per person and $19 for kids from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Selections on the brunch menu include: Smoked salmon, crème fraiche, caviar and baby arugula; Baby artichokes alla Romana; Frittata primavera with goat cheese, tomato, carrots & arugula salad; French toast with fresh strawberries & vanilla gelato; Spinach & ricotta ravioli with Bolognese sauce; and Shrimp scampi, jasmine rice & asparagus. Don’t forget to order her one of the $7 mimosas or bloody mary’s!

Navy Beach - Montauk

Plan a day trip to Montauk for Mother’s Day and book a table for lunch at Navy Beach. Dine on the water while enjoying a special three course prix fixe lunch for $48 between 11:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Choices on the special menu include: Clam & corn chowder with bacon, chives and basil oil; Soy-glazed tilefish with sushi rice, goma wakame and red curry coconut; and the famous Navy Burger with bacon – onion marmalade, cabot cheddar, house pickles and hand-cut fries. As a special treat all moms will receive a complimentary bloody mary or mimosa.

The Palm Court - East Meadow

There are options galore at The Carltun. Book a table at the grand buffet in the Grand Ballroom for brunch or dinner and indulge in the breakfast station, seafood station, carving station and more. Cost is $57 for adults, $26 for kids for brunch and $70 for adults and $35 for kids for dinner. If you are looking for a more elegant meal, a special four course dinner will be offered at the Palm Court & Wine Cellar for $70 per person. Menu selections include: Jumbo shrimp cocktail, Beets & goat cheese tower; BLT salad; South African lobster tail and petite filet mignon with Portobello sauce; and Black sea bass with bay scallops, Peruvian yellow pepper sauce & mashed potatoes. Finish up the meal with the Pastry Chef’s dessert tasting plate.
