Winter on Long Island is usually the season for staying in, but that’s about to change. Long Island Restaurant Week is celebrating 10 years this winter, and the milestone edition kicks off next week, running from Sunday, January 25 through Sunday, February 1, 2026. What started as a way to bring people out during the quieter months has grown into one of the most anticipated dining weeks of the year — and this anniversary makes it feel extra special.

Throughout the week, restaurants across Nassau and Suffolk counties will offer prix fixe menus designed to make winter dining feel both accessible and intentional. Options include a $24 two-course lunch and three-course dinner menus priced at $29, $39, or $46, giving chefs the flexibility to highlight signature dishes while offering guests a well-paced, value-driven experience. It’s an ideal way to try new restaurants or revisit favorites with a fresh perspective.

For participating restaurants, Winter Long Island Restaurant Week arrives at a key moment in the season. The promotion encourages steady traffic during traditionally slower weeks, introduces new guests to dining rooms, and often builds momentum that continues well beyond the event itself. With the program celebrating its 10-year milestone, this winter’s edition feels especially meaningful for restaurants looking to stay connected to the local dining community.

Diners will also find added incentive to take part. In addition to the prix fixe menus, Long Island Restaurant Week is hosting a Winter Gift Card Giveaway, offering guests the chance to win a gift card redeemable at a participating restaurant of their choice. It’s a simple bonus that adds to the excitement of the week and rewards those who take the time to explore.
