It’s the most romantic day of the year! As Valentine’s Day approaches, it’s time to start thinking where you will celebrate with your special someone.

An extravagant four-course meal with champagne and chocolates? A more casual dinner for two with delicious a la carte creations? Almond - Bridgehampton


Almond is 'twisting' things up with their citrus-themed prix-fixe dinner! Each dish in this spectacular four-course menu features the unique sweet and tangy flavors of the blood orange. Start with a Peconic Bay Scallop Crudo with blood orange agrodolce and cashews, move on to a winter salad of chicory, citrus, sumac, radishes, pumpkin seeds and Aleppo, then choose from blood orange lacquered strong island duck or swordfish adobo for the main course and finish with chocolate and blood oranges. The special menu is $85 per person plus tax and tip. Book your table in advance.

Sandbar - Cold Spring Harbor


This North Shore gem is celebrating the day of love with a three-course special menu for $75 per person. Appetizers include their famous chickpea fries, duck tacos, pan-roasted foie gras, asparagus salad, wild mushroom cream soup and tuna tartare. Main courses for the special day are pan-roasted sea scallops with carrot-ginger puree, Steelhead trout, grilled swordfish, American chicken pot pie, linguini fra diavolo with shrimp, herb crusted loin of lamb and a 12 oz. NY strip steak. Cap off the meal with sweets including milk & cookies, ginger almond tart or rum baba!

Jonathan's - Huntington


This Wine Spectator award-winning restaurant is offering a special a la carte menu for Valentine’s Day. Shrimp bisque, Maryland crab cake, homemade scialatielli pasta with prawns, Chilean sea bass and filet mignon are all options in addition to the regular menu. Top off the meal with chocolate covered strawberries! Wine specials will also be available: Barolo, Mauro Molino, Piemonte, all at $75 a bottle.

Maxwells - Islip


Sweetheart specials are on the menu at Maxwell’s in Islip! For $65 a couple (plus tax and gratuity), the menu offers appetizer choices, an entrée for two and a dessert for two. Appetizer selections include jumbo shrimp cocktail, Maryland style lump crabcakes and fresh burrata. The love bird's ultimate surf n' turf for two entrée features two 8 oz. filet mignon with crab stuffed jumbo shrimp, roasted garlic whipped potatoes, butter poached asparagus and brandy peppercorn sauce. The grand finale is a sweetheart brownie for two with oreo and chocolate chip cookies, Ghiradelli chocolate brownie and Tahitian vanilla ice cream.

Apertif - Rockville Center


Take a seat on their luxurious red velvet chairs and enjoy selections from a large selection of bistro items at Aperitif! Start with a grand plateau of delicacies from the sea including oysters, clams and shrimp. Choose from delicious appetizers such as grilled octopus with arugula, chick peas, tomato, onions and EVOO or grilled lamb chops with fingerling potato salad and mint yogurt emulsion. Entrée selections include lobster risotto, grilled veal chop, duck a la orangé and pistachio crusted rack of lamb.
