It’s that time of year where the air is chilled, the candy is abundant and the pumpkins are popping up everywhere. It also means that Halloween is around the corner! This year, it falls on a Wednesday so expect to see an extended celebration, so a variety of costume options are a slight necessity. Here are our tops picks of where to do your Monster Mash.


Annual Costume Bash at Maxwell’s – Islip
October 27 at 9 p.m.


Prizes for best costume, drink specials including $5 Bud Light drafts and $6 craft drafts, and music by the JHaus Band. A $5 cover will be charged.


Costume Party Dinner Cruise – Freeport
October 27 from 7 to 10 p.m.

The not-so-scary Sapphire Princess Halloween dinner cruise embarks from Freeport. Enjoy a South Shore Bay tour with a 3-hour open bar, appetizers and Blackjack table. A dinner buffet, coffee and dessert will also be served. Costumes are mandatory! Cost is $75 per person.


Party at Pace’s Dockside – Mattituck
October 27 at 7 p.m.

Costume contest, food and drink specials, plus a complimentary two-hour buffet for a $10 cover charge. Music will be provided by That Motown Band.


Rowdyween at Rowdy Hall – East Hampton
October 31 at 7:30 p.m.


Costume party with cash prize, drinks specials and a DJ spinning all night long. Tickets cost $30 in advance, $35 at the door, and include one complimentary drink.
