In addition to their Patchogue location, their location in Woodbury is also participating in Long Island Restaurant Week. Both locations were founded by owners and brothers Jose and Pedro Castillo, as well as brothers and chefs Carlos and Felipe Arellano. The Castillos and Arellanos wanted to bring Oaxacan cuisine to New York and honor the culinary traditions, such as a variety of moles. In addition to the delicious cuisine, the restaurants offer over 50 artisanal and ancestral mezcals and over 100 different types of tequila. With Ruta Oaxaca’s dishes being “home gourmet,” utilizing old-fashioned culinary methods with beautiful presentation, the restaurant will be sure to provide you with a magical dining experience. For Winter Long Island Restaurant Week, both Ruta Oaxaca locations are offering a two-course lunch for $24 and a three-course dinner for $39.
