East Hampton

NEW Italian Ristorante Opens on the East End!

Now you don’t have to travel to Venice, Italy for delicious Italian cuisine!

A new restaurant opened in East Hampton this July and they’re serving mouthwatering Italian comfort dishes, just like Nonna would on Sunday afternoon. Bel Mare Ristorante is the brainchild of owner Rich Gherardi, who tapped prominent Chef Luigi Del Conte to man the kitchen.

Longtime residents of East Hampton, the Gherardi Family knew the demand for a great Italian restaurant was high. When the opportunity to take over the former Michael’s Restaurant location arose, they jumped on the opportunity.

The concept of Bel Mare Ristorante was to create high-quality classic Italian dishes in a casual atmosphere with moderate prices. The team knew that in order to create their vision, they needed the right executive chef, which was when they brought in longtime friend, Chef Luigi Del Conte. Luigi has his own sauce line which is rapidly growing in the New England Market.
